Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kayak and Ecology Guide, where your passion for nature, leadership skills, and enthusiasm for outdoor adventure will inspire others to explore and appreciate our natural environment. In this paid role, you will lead engaging kayaking excursions while sharing ecological knowledge, fostering environmental stewardship, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for all participants. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine outdoor recreation with education, making a positive impact on visitors and the environment alike. Responsibilities Lead guided kayaking trips, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Share ecological insights about local wildlife, plant life, water systems, and conservation efforts with participants. Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering assistance, and creating memorable experiences. Manage time effectively to coordinate trip schedules and ensure timely departures and returns. Communicate clearly with diverse groups, including multilingual or bilingual audiences, to enhance understanding and engagement. Demonstrate leadership by guiding groups confidently while maintaining a fun and educational atmosphere. Teach kayaking techniques and ecological concepts to participants of varying ages and skill levels. Qualifications Proven experience in kayaking or water-based activities with strong safety awareness. Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak publicly and engage audiences effectively. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage groups responsibly. Strong customer service orientation with a passion for teaching and environmental education. Effective time management skills to coordinate trips smoothly and efficiently.
