In this dynamic role, you will serve as a welcoming ambassador, guiding visitors, delivering engaging presentations, and creating memorable educational experiences. Your passion for culture, education, and community outreach will help bring the museum's collections to life while promoting ongoing engagement and support for our mission. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in public speaking, research, and collection management while making a positive impact on visitors of all ages. Duties Be the first friendly face guests meet — greeting, checking them in, and setting the tone for their visit Deliver an engaging orientation that highlights must-see spaces and special offerings Support sales of retail items, tours, memberships, and premium add-on experiences, helping guests make the most of their visit Stay attentive to guest needs throughout their visit, offering helpful guidance with confidence and genuine care Ensure smooth daily operations — maintaining tidy, welcoming spaces and accurate end-of-shift reports Assist with special events, high-profile guests, and hospitality moments that leave lasting impressions Step in wherever needed to elevate the guest experience and help the team thrive Complete daily report at the end of each shift What It Takes To Succeed
  • MUST LIVE IN THE DMV AREA
  • High-end retail or premium hospitality experience strongly preferred Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and service goals Excellent communication skills with a warm, polished presence Quick thinker who anticipates guest needs and connects the dots Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and moving throughout large spaces Ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events Discretion with VIP guests Multi-lingual or bartending experience — a plus
