Daytime, Weekend, Sunset and Glow Kayak Tour Guide

Do you love being on the water, enjoying nature and interacting with new people? Our world-premier kayak company is expanding in the Destin / Mary Esther area! We are looking to add four team members prepare for tourist season. Our tours are done in 100% clear kayaks-perfect to showcase the beautiful clear waters of the Emerald Coast. We launch from a private cove near the spoil islands a unique and beautiful area to deliver tours. Our flexible schedule allows you to work as little as one to five days per week.

Candidates must be:

Be comfortable on the water during the daytime navagating watercraft across the intercoastal wayway to the spoil islands. Be comfortable on the water at dust or during the evenings to host our glow tours. 18 years or older Interact with guests during check-in, assist with loading and unloading kayaks, and engage with guests during the tour with a friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming attitude. Able to lift 60+ Lbs.

CPR / BLS

/ Florida Boating Certification - for the right canidate, we will sponsor certifications. Previous kayaking or paddleboard experience required. Ensuring the safety and comfort of all guest: how would you handle a swamped kayak? Have a smartphone with the ability to download apps. Have a knowledge or an interest in wildlife, ecology, and the history of the Destin Ft. Walton Area. Provide relevant information about the ecosystem and wildlife - trainng provided. Provide a paddling lesson that includes boating and wildlife safety before launching and during the tour assist in building paddling technique and skill!. Provide high-quality and professional customer service. Cleaning and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications:

Available either daytime, evenings, or weekends. If not already certified, you must be willing to complete certifications in CPR/BLS and Florida Boating Safety certificat. This is a physically demanding job requiring the ability to load and unload kayaks, up to 60 pounds, on and off a trailer throughout the day. The ability to paddle up to 2 hours two times a day. Students are welcome to apply - perfect for students studying conservation, Florida Master Naturalists, teachers, or local residents with extensive knowledge of the local ecosystem.
