New Smyrna Beach Titusville / Cocoa Beach About Us Savvy Paddles is an eco-tour company specializing in guided clear kayak and paddleboard experiences throughout Central Florida. We focus on wildlife education, unforgettable customer experiences, and environmentally responsible tourism. Our tours often include manatee sightings, dolphin encounters, bioluminescence, and educational experiences centered around Florida's unique ecosystems. We are currently seeking outgoing, dependable, and safety-focused Eco-Tour Guides to join our growing team in the New Smyrna Beach and Titusville/Cocoa Beach areas. Position Overview This is a contracted position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with people, and sharing a passion for nature and water sports. Guides will lead kayaking and paddleboarding tours for guests of various ages and experience levels while maintaining a fun, safe, and educational environment. Weekend, holiday, sunrise/sunset, and evening availability is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Lead guided kayak and paddleboard eco-tours safely and professionally Educate guests about local wildlife, ecosystems, conservation, and water safety Assist guests with launching, paddling techniques, and equipment use Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after tours Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and launch areas Monitor weather, tides, and water conditions for guest safety Capture or assist with guest photos when needed Represent the company professionally both in person and online Preferred Qualifications Previous experience kayaking, paddleboarding, guiding tours, teaching lessons, or working in outdoor recreation Comfortable speaking to groups and working with tourists, families, and beginners Strong swimming ability and confidence on the water CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Knowledge of Florida wildlife and waterways is a plus Reliable transportation required Must be able to lift and carry kayaks/paddleboards (approximately 40-70 lbs with assistance when needed) Social media/photo experience is a bonus Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Friendly and energetic Reliable and punctual Comfortable working independently Passionate about nature and conservation Patient with beginners and families Safety-oriented and adaptable in changing outdoor conditions Compensation Competitive contracted pay per tour/hour (based on experience) Tips from guests Flexible scheduling Opportunities for growth and additional tour locations Work Environment This position involves working outdoors in Florida heat, humidity, sun, wind, and varying weather conditions. Guides may work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on tour demand.
