Job Description
About the role We're looking for energetic, guest-focused teammates to help deliver a great beach day for resort guests and visitors. This is an active, outdoor role with hands-on setup, friendly guest interaction, and teamwork on the sand. This position requires availability for weekday and weekend shifts. Typical shifts are 7:00 AM-1:00 PM or 12:00 PM-6:00 PM . Applicants must be available to work at least one of these shift windows consistently, including during the school year. Unfortunately, school schedules that only allow after-school availability generally do not work for this position. What you'll do Set and maintain the beach: Arrange lounge chairs, umbrellas, cabanas, tables, and pads; keep rows straight and equipment clean and in good repair.
Greet and escort guests:
Welcome guests at the beach ramp, walk them to their chairs or cabanas, set their space, and check back for needs.
Pool and grounds care:
Sweep, hose, and tidy the pool deck and beach access areas; keep towel stock moving from clean towel stand to used towel laundry.
Watersports support:
Safely launch and land paddleboards and kayaks; help with fittings and basic tips for first-timers.
Safety and weather:
Monitor conditions including wind, tides, and storms on provided apps; secure equipment proactively.
Reservations and communication:
Use our booking tools to view or schedule activities; communicate clearly with guests, teammates, and resort partners. Task loop when it's quiet: Rake seaweed, pick up trash, reset unused sets, lower seatbacks, close umbrellas, restock towels, and offer help to arriving guests. What you bring Customer-service mindset and a friendly, professional tone. Paddleboard or kayak experience is helpful, but basic comfort is fine. We'll train the rest. Comfort working outside in Florida weather, including hot, sunny, humid, or breezy days. Strength and stamina to lift and carry 50+ lbs, including chair pads, umbrellas, and paddleboards, and to safely drag stacks of lounge chairs. Situational awareness and a basic understanding of how wind, tides, and storms affect beach and watersports operations. Comfort learning simple booking software on an iPad or phone. Clear, courteous communication with guests and coworkers. Professional standards, including upright posture, clean uniform, and no phone use while on duty except for weather checks or work-related communication. Nice to have Preferred but not required: CPR/First-Aid certification, boater-safety card, lifeguard experience, hospitality or outdoor recreation background, and bilingual English/Spanish. Frequent standing, walking on sand, bending, lifting, and carrying. Regular exposure to sun, heat, wind, and ocean water. Must be comfortable entering the water to assist guests and equipment.
