FLAVORS FOOD TOURS IS HIRING TOUR GUIDES & STORYTELLERS

Flavors Food Tours is seeking outgoing, responsible, engaging guides to lead small-group food and history tours in Savannah's Historic District. This is not a microphone-and-bus style tour job. Our tours are intimate experiences with small groups (typically 2-8 guests), so guides must be comfortable making conversation, connecting with people naturally, and creating a warm, memorable atmosphere while confidently leading the experience. We are looking for guides who are: personable and fun to talk to passionate about Savannah history and culture great at small talk and reading people quick-thinking and socially confident professional and dependable able to memorize and deliver structured tour material naturally

IMPORTANT

This is not a "wing it" type of guiding role. Our guides are trained on structured storytelling and tour scripts. The best guides are able to: learn and retain information quickly confidently tell stories and historical narratives stay on timing between restaurants sound natural instead of scripted bring their own warmth, humor, and personality to the experience

TOUR TYPES

Food Tours (3-3.5 hours) Historic Walking Tours (2.5 hours)

GUIDE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and host groups of guests through Savannah Memorize and deliver tour content Share Savannah history in an engaging way Keep conversations flowing naturally with guests Manage timing and logistics between stops Work professionally with restaurant partners Handle unexpected situations calmly and confidently

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Has lived in Savannah at least 2 years Lives close to the Historic District Has strong communication and people skills Enjoys talking with visitors from around the world Has strong interest in local history, food, and culture Learns quickly and retains information well Is punctual, reliable, and organized Has hospitality, theater, education, sales, or customer-facing experience Can comfortably walk several miles in heat/humidity

SCHEDULE NEEDS

FOOD TOURS:

Monday:

10am-1:30pm 10:30am-2pm

Monday-Saturday:

2:30pm-6:30pm 4pm-7pm

Sunday:

1:30pm-5:30pm

HISTORIC WALKING TOURS

Daily:

10am-12pm 5pm-7pm

PAY:

$20-23/hour based on experience Cash tips kept by guides
