CITY OF BLOOMINGTON PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT JOB OPPORTUNITY TEMPORARY PART TIME LEADER BLOOMINGTON COMMUNITY FARMERS' MARKET DESCRIPTION

Assists with the supervision and coordination of the Bloomington Community Farmers' Market, including market set-up and tear-down, coordination of performers and events, and daily operations that ensure a safe, welcoming environment for vendors and customers. Responsibilities include managing SNAP and gift certificate issuance and redemption, supporting vendor and customer transactions, and assisting with facility supervision. Duties also include setting up Parks and Recreation information tables, distributing City program materials, and installing market signage, bollards, audio equipment, and other operational equipment. Performs additional duties as needed to support overall market operations.

EDUCATION

High school education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Some college-level coursework is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Experience in event coordination, gardening/farming and/or local foods preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

Current Adult, Child and Infant CPR and First Aid certifications opportunities to obtain will be provided.

HOURS:

Saturdays from April through September, 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Additional work opportunities may also be available at the Tuesday Markets from June through September 2-8 p.m.

SALARY:
