Job Description

We are hiring for a Tour Guide position at Global Wildlife Center, one of the largest free-roaming animal preserves in the nation! This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with people, and sharing a passion for wildlife. This is a physically demanding job and requires working in all weather conditions throughout the year. As a Tour Guide, you will: Conduct guided safari tours for individuals and groups, ensuring an enjoyable and educational experience Engage guests through effective public speaking and storytelling Manage time effectively to stay on schedule while allowing for guest interaction Answer questions and provide additional information to enhance the tour experience Ensure the safety and comfort of all guests during tours Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service at all times Prepare for tours by checking feed, equipment, and vehicles Assist guests with boarding and exiting tour vehicles Perform physical tasks such as lifting feed bags, cleaning areas, and general upkeep Help maintain cleanliness of wagons, visitor areas, and surrounding spaces All Tour Guides are cross-trained to support Box Office and Gift Shop operations, including ticket sales, guest check-in, and retail assistance.
Qualification Requirements:
Strong communication skills with the ability to speak confidently to groups Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude Good time management and reliability Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand, walk, lift, and stay active for extended periods Valid driver's license required Customer service or public speaking experience preferred Interest in wildlife and conservation is a plus Join us in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests as a Tour Guide at Global Wildlife Center!
