Park Technician A - WAE

The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails. The purpose of this position is to complete various physical, custodial, and/or maintenance tasks to include cleaning, removing litter and trash, cleaning various buildings, operating equipment, and assisting with and giving tours to the public.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Job Duties:

Performs custodial duties necessary to maintain clean and sanitary conditions of plantation house. Assist in opening and closing duties in the house and outbuildings. Distributes promotional materials and answers questions. Provides a high level of customer service and assists customers with inquiries. Gives tours of the plantation house and assists with school groups.
