1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Nursing Supervisor position in a hospital setting, requiring 5+ years of staff nurse experience with leadership responsibilities and an active MA RN license. Details Hospital-based position within a multi-unit nursing environment Responsible for overseeing patient care across multiple nursing units and departments Patient population spans infancy through geriatrics PM/night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week Every other weekend required Every other holiday required Requirements Active MA RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required ICU experience required Bed flow and transfer line experience required Minimum 5 years of staff nurse experience, including charge nurse responsibilities Leadership experience required Experience with staffing and scheduling required Nursing degree required: diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred) Must be able to demonstrate clinical knowledge across a broad patient population (infancy to geriatrics) 2 professional references required: at least one must be manager-level or above (listed as 'Manager'), one must be within the last 12 months and the other within 3 years, and references from fellow travelers are not accepted Candidates must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) — the test may only be taken twice Additional Information Serves as the on-site hospital representative for evening, night, and weekend shifts, coordinating operational and administrative activities Provides clinical direction to staff and evaluates care delivered by nursing personnel Responsible for staffing decisions to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient patient care Manages human resource responsibilities within the Nursing Division to support both patient care quality and positive employee relations Functions as a member of the Nursing Leadership Team and directs Nursing Division activities in compliance with established policies Establishes and maintains interdisciplinary communication across departments No radius requirement for this specialty — local candidates are accepted
