Job Description

First Amendment Museum Weekend Tour Guide The First Amendment Museum (Augusta, Maine) seeks a museum Tour Guide who is a responsible and outgoing individual with excellent customer service skills. This position is an integral part of our summer and fall season. We are seeking guides to lead museum tours and greet visitors on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 12-3 at the First Amendment Museum. Starting pay is $18 per hour. This is a part-time, hourly position for 9 hours a week with the opportunity for additional hours when available. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays.
Duties:
Lead tours and assist visitors Serve as first point of contact for visitors to the museum Provide a high level of customer service, enthusiasm, and engagement through the exhibits Supervise volunteers and interns working weekend shifts Opening and closing the museum Maintain a clean work environment
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Excellent customer service skills Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or museum or other tour guide work a plus Current or former educators are also encouraged to apply If you are passionate about Americans' constitutional freedoms and would like to be part of a new phase in the nation's only museum dedicated solely to the First Amendment, this tour guide position is for you.
