Part-Time (Minimum 20 hours per week) Position Overview Lake Forest Golf Club is seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Starter/Ranger to join our team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable experience for all golfers. The ideal candidate loves the game of golf, enjoys engaging with people, and thrives in an outdoor, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the first tee and ensure groups start on time and in proper order Maintain pace of play throughout the golf course in a professional and positive manner Communicate clearly with golfers regarding course policies, expectations, and daily conditions Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests Assist with coordinating tee times and managing daily play flow Address and resolve on-course issues with professionalism and good judgment Assist outdoor service staff as needed, including moving carts, fueling, picking the range, and general support of other LFGC team members as needed. Act as an ambassador of Lake Forest Golf Club's culture: "Where friends gather," delivering an unforgettable customer experience Qualifications Strong golf background required (multiple years of playing experience preferred) Previous experience in sales, hospitality, or customer service is highly desirable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic environment Comfortable making decisions and interacting with a wide variety of personalities Must enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds Positive, outgoing, and team-oriented attitude Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather conditions Ability to navigate the golf course efficiently throughout a shift Schedule Minimum 20 hours per week Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Why Join Lake Forest Golf Club?
