Job Description

The St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum seeks committed and engaging education facilitator. Education facilitator will complete paid training sessions with Education staff that focus on the historical content of the permanent Holocaust exhibition and the Impact Lab as well as artifact-and dialogue-based tour techniques. Position Overview:
As an Education Facilitator, you will guide school groups through our permanent Holocaust exhibition and interactive Impact Lab. You'll be trained to lead age-appropriate, historically accurate tours that encourage reflection and engagement. You will also function as the Manager on Duty on Saturdays where you will be responsible for Museum operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead group tours using provided outlines and training materials Facilitate respectful, age-appropriate dialogue in the Impact Lab Adapt to student needs and group dynamics in real time Collaborate with other educators and museum staff Create a welcoming and inclusive experience for all visitors Function as the Manager on Duty (MOD) on Saturdays (8:00am-5:00pm) As MOD you will be responsible for Museum operations including opening / closing the Museum, serving as the point of contact for visitor inquires etc.
Qualifications:
Strong interest in Holocaust history and/or museum education Confident public speaker and discussion facilitator Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Comfortable being physically active and standing for a full day Must pass a background check
