Job Description

Position Summary:
Salaried position. Responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation and performance of the shift; availability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Essential functions include but are not limited to: Primary responsibilities include gate keeping of Emergency Work Requests, ensure response time and emergency issue resolution time meet area expectations; assurance in the utilization of the Markham system by the tour crews; accountability for work plan status communications; provide leadership and guidance to crew members while promoting employee involvement and participation in problem solving and continuous improvement; actively support and promote all Mill initiatives including safety, environmental, quality, productivity and cost management. Expectations to include understanding and enforcing compliance with all policies and procedures, managing risks effectively and ensuring all work orders are completed on time. Strong mechanical aptitude, mathematical proficiency, troubleshooting and computerization skills are required.

Education and/or
Experience Required:
Ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and 3+ years of experience in an industrial engineering/manufacturing environment, preferably in the Pulp and Paper Industry; commensurate work experience will be considered. High School Diploma or GED with equivalent work experience considered.
