We're looking for an energetic tour guide and storyteller to join our growing team. This is a part-time, on-call contractor position with flexible scheduling. Guides are scheduled based on tour demand and availability. As a tour guide, you'll lead guests through some of NYC's most iconic neighborhoods while sharing local stories, introducing guests to incredible food, and creating memorable experiences. This role involves a high level of walking and social interaction. Tours are typically 2-3 hours long and are fully walking-based. Duties & Responsibilities Lead guided walking food tours for groups of varying sizes while ensuring guest safety and engagement throughout the experience Share stories, historical facts, cultural insights, and neighborhood knowledge in an engaging and entertaining way Introduce guests to local food vendors, restaurants, and iconic NYC landmarks Manage tour schedules efficiently to ensure smooth timing and guest experience Answer guest questions with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism Coordinate with team members to prepare tour routes, food stops, and materials for each session Take photos and short-form videos for social media content Promote additional tours or future bookings when appropriate Uphold safety protocols and maintain a welcoming environment for all guests Utilize multilingual or bilingual skills when possible to accommodate diverse visitors Qualifications Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking to groups Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Comfortable walking for 2-3 hours at a time Interest in NYC history, food, culture, or tourism preferred Photography, videography, or social media skills are a plus No prior tour guide experience required — training provided Schedule & Availability This is an ideal flexible side role for: College students Actors and creatives Retired professionals Freelancers Hospitality workers Anyone who enjoys meeting new people Preferred availability: Morning tours between 10:00 AM

• 1:00 PM Afternoon/evening tours between 3:00 PM
• 5:00 PM Fridays and weekends preferred Must be available on Sundays for training Applicants should ideally be available at least 3 days per week. Compensation Hourly compensation varies by tour type, group size, route complexity, and experience level. Most tours range between $18
• 30 per hour.
