Job Description

Position Summary The ZipTour Guide coaches, harnesses, and guides guests throughout the tour while maintaining the highest level of safety and fun. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complete all required operational training for the ZipTour course in a satisfactory manner. Assist with all aspects of the daily operation, including but not limited to: opening and closing procedures, equipment inventory, inspections and maintenance, emergency response procedures, and routine line inspections. Effectively communicate with guests. Greet and instruct guests on proper harnessing procedures and trolley usage for the ZipTour. Guide guests in a helpful and supportive manner through the training demos. Assist guests with the safe mount/dismount of the ZipTour at each landing. Assist guests with inquiries and resolve guest-related concerns or problems. Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and guests at all times. Ensure work areas are kept safe and free from hazardous conditions. Continuously model safe work practices and maintain compliance with all safety policies. Report safety-related incidents and potentially unsafe situations to the Guide Supervisor/Manager. Notify leadership when guests are unable to follow safety procedures. Demonstrate success in safety awareness. Conduct equipment inspections as required. Conduct line rescues as needed. Establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers and guests. High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret documents and safety manuals. Ability to talk and engage in conversation in front of crowds of up to 15 people. Outdoor leadership or guide experience preferred. Physical Requirements Reasonable physical condition to engage in outdoor activities for up to 10 hours. Able to stand for extended periods. Regularly lift 25 pounds above head and occasionally up to 50 pounds. ZipTour guides may not weigh more than 260 pounds due to manufacturer regulations. Ability to ascend/descend stairs leading to zip line platforms. Comfortable working in high altitudes. Have a full range of overhead arm motions. Exchange accurate information with ZipTour guests regarding rules and regulations. Constantly position yourself to assist guests with harnessing and mounting/dismounting the zip line. Able to move between platforms via walking on dirt and rock surfaces. Able to work in both cold and hot environments. Teamwork Be on time for the scheduled shift. Follow MTB appearance standards at all times. Communicate Be flexible Work together to provide a safe and fun environment for each other and our guests. Bachelor requires the ability to shovel snow and walk on steep and uneven surfaces. Reasonable physical condition to engage in outdoor activities for up to 10 hours.
