Reports To:
Senior Director of Visitor Services Position pays: $22-25 / hour The Role The Philadelphia Visitor Center is looking for an experienced event and volunteer manager to support volunteer management and onsite logistics for three pop up visitor center locations in summer 2026. Key Responsibilities Support supervisor and Senior Director of Visitor Services with staff and volunteer training Serve as supervisor on duty on weekends and evenings Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for all volunteers, providing real-time coaching and support. Ensure standardized SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are followed at all seasonal visitor center locations. Model excellent customer service and Philly pride to all volunteers, and answer their questions to ensure they are prepared to serve guests. Work with the operations team to ensure safety and risk mitigation. Educate staff and visitors about Philadelphia and the organization's partners. Assist staff is providing visitors with timely, memorable, and accurate information about the City of Philadelphia and the region. Assist with intake, processing, and transportation of commemorative items. Assist in the daily maintenance of the sites, including restocking, ticketing, merchandise preparation, etc. Assist with other organizational tasks as needed.
Qualifications Experience:
1+ years in operations management, attraction management, or hospitality.
Philadelphia Passion:
knowledge of Philadelphia's neighborhoods, history, and "must-see" spots. Track record of successful event management. Ability to lift 35 lbs. Valid PA Driver's License with Real ID. Ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions.
Note:
This position will consist of evening and weekend shifts to support visitor centers during peak tourism seasons. dpA3UjwqWH
