Some college preferred. Position includes significant outside work in hot and cold weather, requires energy and physical stamina, ability to walk and climb substantial quantity of stairs. Must like working with and speaking to the public for several hours at a time. Prior knowledge of American history and giving tours preferred. Position is part time and requires working weekends. Will require a valid ID to access Fort Story in Virginia Beach. Historic Interpreters report to Site Coordinator and perform other duties as assigned. Position is as-scheduled but can expect to work 8-30 hours per week.
