1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Nurse Manager - Oncology position overseeing Medical Oncology operations at a hospital in Sweetwater County, WY, requiring oncology leadership experience and a variable schedule. Details Position is based in a Medical Oncology unit within a hospital setting Oversees chemotherapy, oral oncolytics, and high-risk infusion services Coordinates oncology care across interdisciplinary teams including Radiation Oncology, pharmacy, and providers Schedule is variable, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Reports directly to the Chief Clinical Officer Requirements Active WY or Compact RN license required Nurse Manager or comparable oncology leadership experience required 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 from a peer or supervisor in the specialty within the last 3 years Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information Leads daily Medical Oncology clinical operations including staffing, patient flow, resource utilization, and workflow management Responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing chemotherapy regimens within the EMR to support safe, evidence-based treatment plans Oversees complex navigation workflows for chemotherapy and high-risk infusions, including prior authorizations, scheduling, and patient/family education Supports clinical trial coordination activities to expand patient access to innovative treatments Engages in community outreach, survivorship programming, and patient education efforts Integrates TeamSTEPPS into daily workflows to promote communication, patient safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration Responsible for staff recruitment, retention, orientation, performance evaluation, and ongoing professional development Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards, state and federal regulations, infection control protocols, and medication safety procedures Collaborates closely with the Medical Director to align clinical standards, quality initiatives, and operational priorities Participates in hospital committees and oncology collaboratives to support coordinated cancer care Patient safety metrics are reviewed regularly and factored into annual leadership performance evaluationsSimilar jobs in Rock Springs, WY
