πŸ“ Food Services πŸ“…    26000382 Requisition # πŸ“…    8 Total Views Apply for Job Share this Job Sign Up for Job Alerts Under the general direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, the primary functions of this position are to greet customers, take orders, serve patrons, and collect payments. Must be willing to work 4 days a week, weekends and holidays, starting pay is $18.00 per hour plus tips and discounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(and other duties as assigned) Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request. Take orders from patrons; write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computer for transmittal kitchen staff. Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for patrons. Serve food or beverages to patrons and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required. Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Prepare checks that itemize and total mean costs and sales taxes. Collect payments from customers. Clean tables or counters after patrons have finished dining. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture. High school or equivalent certification. Previous background should include demonstrated ability to deal with the general public. Must be able to work independently and must be willing to work shifts that vary. The ability to speak and understand the Inupiaq language is important and preferred.
