Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all guest requests are clearly communicated to the kitchen staff. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a friendly and engaging attitude. Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Manage table settings, bussing, and sanitation to maintain a clean and inviting environment. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities. Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed, demonstrating culinary knowledge and food safety standards. Maintain excellent guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly in a fast-paced setting. Support sanitation protocols and food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations. Qualifications Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests quickly and professionally. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management. Experience in serving or host/hostess roles that demonstrate hospitality excellence is highly valued.
