Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Meat Slicer/Front Counter Associate, where you will be the friendly face and skilled hand behind our bbq serving and customer service. This energetic role combines precise meat slicing with engaging retail interactions, ensuring our customers receive top-quality products and exceptional service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. Duties Knife handling to slice barbecued meats safely and efficiently according to quality standards and customer specifications Assist customers at the front counter by providing knowledgeable product recommendations and answering questions Handle retail sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and maintaining proper cash register procedures Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas, adhering to food safety management and sanitation standards Upsell products by suggesting complementary items, promoting specials, and enhancing the customer shopping experience Restock display cases and storage areas regularly to ensure fresh, appealing product presentation Support food handling procedures, including packaging, wrapping, and labeling meats in accordance with food safety regulations Requirements Previous experience in food preparation, meat slicing, or retail sales within the food industry is preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cashiering experience is a plus Strong customer service skills with an energetic approach to engaging shoppers and addressing their needs Ability to stand for extended periods while operating equipment and assisting customers Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques Quick service & fast food restaurant experience or café experience is advantageous Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Join us in delivering top-tier service while honing your skills in a lively, supportive setting.
