Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor as they arrive at the restaurant. Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring that all requests are met promptly. Serve food and drinks to guests while maintaining a high standard of presentation. Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area in accordance with health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and manage the point-of-sale system. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including daily specials and wine pairings. Uphold food safety standards throughout all stages of service. Skills Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating positive guest experiences. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. A willingness to learn about menu items, food preparation techniques, and sales strategies.
