Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings Prepare and serve food items with proper food handling and sanitation practices, including scooping, topping, and packaging ice cream Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently Manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end Upsell additional treats or combo options to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including cleaning equipment, tables, and surrounding spaces (bussing) Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure quality and hygiene in all food preparation and service activities Experience Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and performing simple calculations for sales or inventory counts Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques Experience working in a fast-paced setting like a café, grocery store, or restaurant will help you excel in this role Join us if you're passionate about creating joyful moments through delicious treats!
