Server Assistant

Il Segreto is an upscale Northern Italian restaurant in North Scottsdale inspired by the culinary traditions of Piemonte and Emilia-Romagna. Position Summary Support Staff position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and flow of the dining room while supporting servers, bartenders, hosts, and managers throughout service. This role is essential to the success of the restaurant. Successful candidates are attentive, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Primary ResponsibilitiesDining Room Support Clear, clean, and reset tables according to Il Segreto standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room, patio, service stations, and guest areas. Polish and stock glassware, silverware, and service equipment. Refill and maintain water service throughout the dining experience. Assist with bread service, food running, and table maintenance as needed. Ensure service stations remain stocked and organized throughout service. Service Assistance Support servers in delivering attentive and seamless guest experiences. Assist in delivering food and beverages accurately and efficiently. Anticipate the needs of both guests and team members. Communicate table status and guest needs to service staff and management. Help maintain dining room flow during busy service periods. Opening & Closing Duties Complete opening and closing side work assignments. Assist with daily cleaning and organization projects. Maintain cleanliness of floors, walkways, and service areas. Ensure all support stations are properly stocked and prepared for service. Teamwork Work closely with servers, bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff, and management. Respond quickly to requests and changing service needs. Maintain a positive and professional attitude throughout each shift. Contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and hospitality. Support the success of the entire restaurant rather than focusing solely on individual responsibilities.

Qualifications Preferred:

Restaurant experience is helpful but not required. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to remain composed under pressure.
