In this vital role, you will act as the communication hub between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring that food is prepared, plated, and delivered efficiently and accurately. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help maintain a smooth flow of service, uphold food safety standards, and elevate guest satisfaction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary and hospitality skills in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. Starting pay is $13.00/hr. + tips (hourly tip rate varies between $5-$15/per hour, depending on seasonality) Duties Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery of hot and cold dishes. Verify that all food items meet presentation standards before serving to guests. Assist in organizing orders on the expo line for efficient plating and delivery. Ensure food safety protocols are followed during handling, plating, and transportation of dishes. Communicate effectively with kitchen team about order modifications or special requests. Support food preparation tasks as needed, including garnishing or portioning ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo station to promote a safe working environment. Skills Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is highly desirable. Strong understanding of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation procedures. Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen and front-of-house teams. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of culinary techniques, food presentation, and banquet service is a plus. Customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor. Familiarity with food preparation, serving protocols, and hospitality industry standards.
