In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and overall hygiene standards within the locker room area. Your proactive approach will ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all members, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your custodial skills while contributing to the overall excellence of our facility. Duties Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of locker room facilities, including showers, sinks, lockers, benches, and flooring. Conduct regular janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards. Maintain floor care by buffing and polishing surfaces to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal. Assist with custodial duties related to industrial cleaning and commercial cleaning practices as needed. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or repairs required within the locker room environment. Use proper techniques for residential painting or touch-ups if necessary to maintain facility appearance. Follow established health and safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a secure environment. Qualifications Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning roles is highly desirable. Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing is preferred. Experience with commercial or residential cleaning tasks demonstrates a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures helps ensure the locker room remains in excellent condition. Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential for reporting issues promptly. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift during cleaning activities throughout the shift.
