Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Cocktail Server will meet and greet guests in a timely manner. Perform duties with friendly, polite, personalized, and passionate guest service. Convey positive body language; use good posture. Have an enthusiastic attitude while personalizing service to the guest. Must adhere to all policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to all guests. Ensure all customers receive the correct drink as requested. Serving guests with proper identification. You must check the ID of patrons who look "under 30". Responsible for all cash and credit transactions on gaming floor. Must input all drink orders into POS system. Monitoring alcohol consumption and determining intoxication levels. Offer non-alcoholic beverages to individuals who may be intoxicated. Notifying supervisors of any guest who may be intoxicated. Make systematic, organized rounds. Maintain 20-minute round times while making two, ten-minute loops through your station. Communicate with management regarding any area in need of special attention to better facilitate excellent guest service. Complaints should be handled in a professional manner. Report all problems with any guest to a Supervisor immediately. Retrieve and return all glassware to bar. Clean and stock service area. Abide by all liquor laws and policies. Promotes current casino events and specials and can give guests directions to all casino areas. Must be able to work any shift including splits, evenings, weekends, and holidays according to business needs. Sustain a courteous attitude and pleasant demeanor in all relations including guests and colleagues. Attend all mandatory meetings. Cross-training to perform other job functions within the F&B Department. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, HSED or GED is required. Must be 21 years of age or older. One-year previous experience in serving and/or bartending related job duties. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to accurately take beverage and food orders. Will be willing to train the right individual.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS ABC
(Alcoholic Beverage Control) Training is mandatory within first 30 days of employment. Food Handler's Card is mandatory within first 30 days of employment. Must pass Title 31 within first 30 days of employment. Must possess ability to interact with the public and fellow employees, demonstrating respect, and tact, courtesy. An excellent appearance is required and must always be in proper uniform and always be friendly and courteous. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters. Able to hear and speak effectively in a noisy environment. Must be able to work various schedules, on an as-needed basis; as work schedules could vary and will involve day, evening, or nighttime hours during the week and/or on weekends. Must meet requirement to qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License. Must pass an extensive background check. Must pass pre-employment drug test.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully; the Team Member must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The demands described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. Repetitive lifting, carrying, and balancing of service tray, up to 20 pounds using one hand. Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving whole body. Bending and stooping. Standing and walking for duration of shift.
