Job Overview Little Kiki is a new tonkatsu restaurant opening in June, inspired by curiosity, care, and constant evolution. As a small, team-focused space, our servers play a key role in creating a seamless and memorable guest experience. In this role, you will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring each visitor feels welcomed, valued, and satisfied. As a key member of our food service team, you'll handle food and beverage orders with precision, manage guest relations seamlessly, and contribute to a lively, upscale atmosphere. Duties Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders ensuring efficient communication with the kitchen staff Upsell menu items by highlighting specials and recommended dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like Toast Assist with food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations Support kitchen staff by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and assisting with basic food preparation when needed Qualifications Previous restaurant or food service experience Strong knowledge of Toast POS and Toast Tables for efficient order processing and reservations management Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations professionally and courteously Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols in the food industry Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Food Handlers Certificate and RBS Certificate Benefits Employee dine-in and take-out discount at all restaurant group locations (Harumama Noodles & Buns, Blue Ocean Robata & Sushi, Blue Ocean/Harumama, Love Boat Sushi) Paid sick time
