The Santa Lucia Preserve is a private community dedicated to appreciating and respecting the area's natural beauty, geography, history, and cultural setting. The Preserve's 20,000 acres are home to a lively community of just under 300 families and a team of talented staff. Our Gatehouse at 1 Rancho San Carlos Road is just a few minutes from Highway 1 in Carmel. A scenic private road takes you into the heart of the Preserve in just 20 minutes. We are hiring a Servers for our Pool Service, Golf Club restaurant and Banquets. The server's primary responsibility is to provide world-class service with grace and professionalism that reflects our desire to genuinely care for and exceed the expectations of our members and their guests. The positions are seasonal until October of this year during our busy season, but may be extended or promoted to a regular position. Duties Exceptional guest service, including a warm welcome, anticipating needs, offering suggestions, knowledge of menu items, and appropriate presentation Taking orders by seat number and communicating orders and timing with the kitchen using the JONAS system Teamwork and communication with other servers, server assistants and kitchen staff Polishing silverware and glassware, providing menus, table set up, table clearing, running food and refilling beverages Serve beer, wine and spirits Qualifications Over 21 years old in order to serve alcohol is preferred One year or more of server experience required Possession or ability to obtain a CA Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification Proficient in basic computer use, JONAS experience preferred Exceptional guest service Team player The Preserve's vision would not be possible without a dedicated team of service-oriented people.
