ON CALL SERVER

POSITION SUMMARY

Coordinate entire server station and communicate with front and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Promotes good customer relations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Include the following (other duties may be assigned): Obtains assigned station from Manager at start of work shift. Greets guests and presents menus, making suggestions and answering questions regarding food, beverages, specials, and service. Responsible for knowledge of menu content, ingredients, options, methods of preparation, and special request availability. Assures prompt service of food and beverage items. Assures guest orders are prepared properly and promptly. Performs side work before, during and at end of shift. Maintains stock of workstation, bussing duties as necessary. Displays ability to keep up with peak period demands. Communicates with wait staff and Manager-On-Duty to maintain service efficiency. Works with Cooks, Bartender and serving staff. Assures immediate clean-up of spills or correction of hazards. Reports all accidents and/or unsafe conditions to Manager-On-Duty and Security Department. Assures compliance with personnel and department policies and procedures. Performs other general duties as directed by the Front of the House Supervisor

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED with restaurant experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE

One year server and public relations experience preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• CA Food Handlers Certificate Alcohol Awareness Certificate Other skills or requirements
• POS system preferred. Basic knowledge of math and English, Equipment and tools

N/A WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

: Performs duties in a well-lighted, ventilated and temperature-controlled office environment. Occasional exposure to a smoke-filled, noisy environment. May work weekends, shifts and holidays.
