Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking energetic and attentive Servers to join our dynamic restaurant team. As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, knowledgeable recommendations, and a warm, welcoming attitude. Your role is vital in creating memorable dining moments, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are upheld, and fostering guest relations that keep patrons coming back. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant environment where hospitality and customer service excellence are at the forefront. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive seating service using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and billing. Take accurate food and beverage orders, suggest upselling opportunities to enhance guest experiences, and ensure timely delivery of orders from the kitchen. Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, including food preparation details and wine or beverage pairings, to assist guests effectively. Manage multiple tables efficiently by practicing excellent time management skills while providing personalized service. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments, and provide correct change. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols. Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain a clean and organized environment. Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest reservations smoothly and optimize seating arrangements. Foster positive guest relations through friendly communication, attentive listening, and prompt resolution of any concerns or special requests. Support the team during busy nights at the nightclub or fine dining setting by staying flexible and proactive in service delivery. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; experience with fine dining or nightclubs is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences. Ability to upsell menu items effectively through sales techniques that benefit both guests and the restaurant. Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and accurate billing processes. Experience in food preparation or kitchen support roles is beneficial but not required. Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members. Hospitality background with host/hostess experience or serving roles that emphasize guest relations is highly valued.
