Food & Beverage Manager / General Manager Position Summary The Dinner Host/Server/Bartender is responsible for delivering a warm, welcoming, and memorable dining experience for all guests during dinner service. This role supports Hilton brand standards by providing attentive service, quality food and beverage knowledge, and a hospitable environment while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Hospitality Greet guests promptly and professionally, ensuring a friendly first and last impression Seat guests efficiently while managing table rotation and wait times Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, beverages, and daily specials Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests and concerns Resolve guest issues courteously and escalate when necessary to management Serving & Dining Operations Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards Perform table maintenance, including pre-bussing, refilling beverages, and resetting tables Process guest checks accurately, including cash and credit card transactions Follow Hilton service sequence and upselling standards to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue Bartending Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Hilton Garden Inn recipes and standards Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with state and local laws Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and proper stock levels Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice safe service at all times Accurately ring in bar sales and complete end-of-shift bar procedures Food Safety & Cleanliness Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (ServSafe, local health regulations) Maintain cleanliness of dining room, bar area, service stations, and storage areas Properly handle, store, and label food and beverage items Adhere to hotel safety policies, including slip, trip, and fall prevention Teamwork & Communication Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, Front Desk, and management to ensure smooth operations Communicate clearly regarding guest needs, large parties, and special requests Assist with opening, closing, and side duties as assigned Support training of new team members when requested Cash Handling & Compliance Follow all cash handling and credit card processing procedures Complete shift reports and tip declarations accurately Comply with Hilton brand standards, hotel policies, and company SOPs Qualifications Previous restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred Bartending experience and alcohol service certification preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Core Competencies Guest-focused mindset Attention to detail Professional appearance and demeanor Time management and organizational skills Team-oriented attitude
