Job Description

Cineopera is looking for FOH Team Members to join our opening team! Cineopera is a Naples-inspired concept situated on an idyllic rooftop in the Arts District of Los Angeles. It houses a fast-casual restaurant, bottle shop, café, and bar, with plenty of space to gather and relax. The al fresco cinema anchors it all, showing landmark films, soccer games, and special screenings. The role of FOH Team Member is the foundation of Cineopera. The role entitles all FOH duties, so it is essential for all Team Members to be communicative, collaborative, respectful, and open-minded.

Open Friday - Sunday availability required, full availability preferred. All FOH Team Members will start as part-time with opportunity for full-time based on availability, performance, and business needs.
Responsibilities:
Take guest orders while providing thoughtful, friendly, and attentive service. Run food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner. Bus and reset tables to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Pour wine and prepare simple cocktails accurately and efficiently. Polish silverware and glassware to uphold presentation standards. Answer guest questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and offerings. Maintain strong knowledge of all menu items, including allergens and dietary considerations. Support overall front-of-house operations and contribute to a positive guest experience.
Qualifications:
Valid food handler certificate preferred. RBS certificate required. General allergen knowledge required. Experience working in an upscale casual and high volume restaurant as server, server assistant, or food runner preferred. Strong liquor and/or wine knowledge preferred. Be comfortable with repetitive motions such as walking, bending and standing during your scheduled shift. Be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
Compensation:
$17.87 hourly rate + Tips No job is too small for any member of our team. As such, all FOH roles will have equal stake in the tip pool. This job description is not an exclusive list of all functions of the role. Other tasks may be asked to be performed as needed in the best interest of the business.
