Duties Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for smooth service flow Qualifications Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously Culinary experience or understanding of food preparation enhances your ability to answer guest questions confidently Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, billing, and order calculations accurately Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred; experience with upselling techniques beneficial Capable of working flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic environment Join us if you're passionate about hospitality, eager to develop your skills in a lively setting, and committed to creating memorable guest experiences.
