Job Description

Job Summary Please attach a cover letter or statement detailing why you would like to join the Hai Sushi House team! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling food preparation, cash transactions, and maintaining a clean dining area. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Please note that this is a
PART TIME
position. As of right now, we are looking for someone for night shift (typically 3:30pm to 9:30pm). You must have your own car, must have open availability, and must be willing to come in for "on-call" shifts. Please only apply if you understand and accept these requirements. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Accurately process transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, handling cash and credit card payments. Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, kitchen, and equipment in compliance with health regulations. Assist with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining an organized workspace. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and address any guest concerns promptly. Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times. Experience Previous experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary experience is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Proficiency in cash handling, basic math skills for accurate transaction processing, and retail math knowledge is beneficial. Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is desirable but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety regulations, and proper food handling techniques is essential.
