Job Description

In Room Dining Server Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and polished In Room Dining Server to join our team in a world-class resort environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate genuine warmth, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of food and beverage service at the highest level. As an In Room Dining Server, you will be entrusted with delivering seamless, anticipatory service directly to our guests' accommodations, creating memorable in-room dining experiences that reflect our commitment to Forbes Travel Guide five-star standards. Duties & Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests with graciousness, using guest name when possible, and maintain professional composure at all times. Present menus and describe offerings with detailed knowledge of ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens. Accurately take and confirm food and beverage orders, noting special requests, dietary restrictions, and service preferences. Prepare, stage, and deliver trays or trolleys to guest accommodations with precision, ensuring correct order presentation and elegant table setup.
Perform polished service steps in-room:
placement of linens, silverware, condiments, beverages, and food items in accordance with Forbes standards. Offer to pour beverages, present condiments, and ensure guests are comfortable before discreetly exiting the room. Provide Tray Away device or confirm preferred pickup method, ensuring clarity and convenience for the guest. Maintain communication with kitchen and IRD coordinator to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Uphold immaculate cleanliness and organization of IRD staging areas, pantries, equipment, and trolleys. Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly with professionalism, escalating to management when appropriate. Support banquet and private dining service as needed, showcasing flexibility across dining venues. Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in fine dining, luxury hotels, or Forbes-level service environments strongly preferred. Warm and professional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and create personalized experiences. Thorough knowledge of food safety standards, dietary restrictions, and handling procedures. Familiarity with wine, spirits, and cocktails, with the ability to make confident recommendations. Exceptional attention to detail in presentation, timing, and guest interaction. Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment while upholding the highest service standards. Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays or trolleys over the course of a shift. Flexibility to work varied schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
