Full Job Description Summary:
Serves food and beverages in an efficient, professional manner according to department standards by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Complete all assigned opening/closing side work to prepare dining room, bar, kitchen and service stations for efficient operation during meal periods.
  • Clean and organize assigned stations in dining room and bar prior to meal time rush.
  • Serve customers in a professional manner as per training guidelines. Maintain service areas such as the kitchen, dining room, bar and service stations during entire shift.
  • Cross-serve and/or assist team members on an as-needed basis. Carry service trays in and out of kitchen, bar and dining room.
  • Communicate health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management. Re-stock items in dining room and bar as needed and alerts kitchen staff and manager of stock shortages. Run food from the kitchen to the banquet hall on demand.
  • Assist with food station or beverage stations before the event begins.
  • Set up buffets with food presentations and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance.
  • Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation. Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs.
  • Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that guidelines such as those for special diets are followed.
  • Communicate with the Food and Beverage Director as well as other servers. Clean up venue after event end and assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks.
  • Clean or sterilize dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment or facilities. Ensure courses are cleared at each course and tables are properly cleaned. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plate ware, glassware and flatware. Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries to management. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality of propriety information and; company assets.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.
Work with management and department heads at all times and assist in carrying out special requirements and duties necessary in adding to the customers' general comfort and well-being. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Ability to work event hours such as evenings, nights and weekends.
