PRIME STEAKHOUSE
•part of the Delta Hotels Ontario Airport. As a Breakfast Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1 year experience as a server, particularly in upscale or fine dining. Shifts will be scheduled as early as 5am, but may change with or without notice at the discretion of Management. Implement Company policies, particularly as they relate to beverage preparation, inventory controls, portioning, health standards and safety. Be knowledgeable of food and beverage sales prices and how the prices are applied. Maintain clean, safe, secure and organized work areas. Maintain safe and secure guest areas. Minimize waste of food, beverages and supplies. Maintain good working relationships with all hotel employees. Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary Company information, including, but not limited to, hotel performance statistics, information about agreements with clients, information about prospective business, hotel financial information and employee personal and salary information throughout and after employment by the hotel. Be knowledgeable on hotel safety, security and emergency equipment and procedures. Correct and report safety hazards within the immediate work areas and surrounding areas. Achieve the standards of performance for this position. Be knowledgeable of food preparation and ingredients. Duties Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Micros POS systems. Provide detailed menu descriptions and recommend items to enhance the guest experience through upselling techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Take, record, submit and deliver room service orders. Clean restaurant work areas and equipment. Perform various preparation and side tasks, such as folding napkins and filling dispensers. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly. Report to management all comments from customers and prospective customers that affect the Company's image or services. Keep accurate records of restaurant and room service transactions. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed. Actively participate in employee meetings. Review and adhere to all manuals and other policy updates. Respond helpfully to guests' special requests. Complete several checklists each shift. Complete other assignments and perform other duties as directed by management. Clean, organize, and restock the Delta Pantry before and after each shift. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Experience with Micros POS. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experiences and increase sales. Familiarity with OpenTable for reservation management is a plus. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Previous experience in upscale or fine dining establishments is highly desirable. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards within the food industry.
