Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm. Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards for fine dining or casual settings. Upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Manage table cleanliness by bussing and resetting tables efficiently to keep the dining area inviting. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, using POS systems such as OpenTable. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations. Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns swiftly, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred, especially with fine dining or nightclub settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and cashiering. Demonstrated skills in upselling, sales techniques, and guest services to enhance the dining experience. Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, food handling, and basic math for accurate cash handling. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Experience in serving or host/hostess roles with a focus on guest relations is advantageous. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment.
