Duties Greet customers warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food handling with precision and integrity, ensuring all sales are processed correctly. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about menu items, making recommendations, and upselling to enhance the guest experience. Prepare and serve food items efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations. Assist with food preparation when needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting. Clear tables, bus tables, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness to maintain an inviting environment. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth operations across the café or retail food industry setting. Skills Strong experience in food service, cashiering, or retail math with an understanding of basic math skills for cash handling and sales calculations. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; previous restaurant experience is highly valued. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols essential for serving in a café or quick service environment. Effective time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently without compromising quality or customer satisfaction. Ability to perform food handling tasks safely and responsibly while supporting kitchen operations when necessary. Experience in bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting overall restaurant operations within the food industry or grocery store environment.
