Responsibilities for serving Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Explain menu items, including AYCE (All-You-Can-Eat) dining procedures Serve sushi, drinks, and other menu items promptly while maintaining presentation standards Monitor guest needs and ensure satisfaction throughout service Upsell beverages, specials, and featured menu items Process payments accurately and handle cash transactions Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations Assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests Collaborate with food runners, bussers, and kitchen staff Complete side work and tasks assigned by management Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times Address guest questions or concerns professionally to ensure a positive dining experience Skills & Qualifications Previous serving experience preferred (sushi or Japanese restaurant experience a plus) Strong customer service and communication skills Experience with POS systems (Kwick OpenTable is a plus) Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Basic math skills for order accuracy and cash handling Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Team-oriented with a positive and energetic attitude Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stay active during shifts Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability Requirements Willingness to obtain a Food Handler Card and RBS Certification upon hire Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Employee discount Flexible scheduling Paid training Paid sick leave
