Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Maître D who can craft and serve a wide range of specialty coffee, tea, and other beverage offerings while providing a strong sense of knowledge and hospitality to guests. As a Maître D, one must possess exceptional knowledge and hospitality to provide employees with training that will translate to a to a great guest experience.

Job Responsibilities:
Know and execute the service expectations outlined in the service manual. Help to promote a safe and clean environment for co-workers and guests. Maintain complete knowledge of products and specifications. This includes ingredients, descriptions, sourcing, brands, allergens, etc. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our POS' operation. Use heightened awareness on any guest allergies, and work to code according to our allergy standards. Check in with any staff working in your respective space upon arrival. See if you can help before beginning your assigned duties. Perform bar maintenance throughout the shift, including crumbing, keeping water full, clearing & resetting serving ware etc. Coordinate service at the bar and restaurant with server, support & bartenders when appropriate. Report all guest complaints to management immediately. Every negative comment/experience will be addressed by a manager so that no customer leaves unhappy. Build relationships with regular guests; and maintain good relations with our neighborhood and industry community members. Comply with sanitation standards and procedures according to health and legal regulations. Complete weekly cleaning duties, in addition to opening and closing duties. Maintain a reasonable response time for all team communication: a minimum of an answer to any correspondence before your next shift. Maintain a reasonable schedule with flexible availability, including early mornings or late nights, holidays, and time for all staff meetings. Operational Efficiency:
Maintain inventory levels and submit ordering requests and stock items as needed to optimize restaurant performance. Train and mentor staff during service. Coordinate service flow. Communicate operational concerns to managers. Assist with guest recovery situations. Implement and maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with local regulations. Operate and maintain bar and restaurant areas by stocking, cleaning, and making sure everything is set before and after each shift. Maintain a professional appearance and hygiene standards set forth by the company. Set up bar station and restaurant in a timely manner, working alongside coworkers to ensure that everything is in place and ready for each shift of service.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house staff and management, to create a seamless and exceptional dining experience. The duties of this position may change from time to time. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent guest service and problem-resolution skills. Fine dining experience preferred. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
1-2 years of restaurant experience needed. Supervisor role preferred. 1-2 years of hospitality experience. High school diploma. Physical Demands The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
