Preferred Skills and Experience:
Assist with setup of banquet spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, place settings, glassware, and décor according to event specifications. Ensure all service areas are stocked and ready prior to guest arrival. Deliver professional, friendly, and efficient service during events. Execute various service styles (plated, buffet, family-style, cocktail reception) according to the event plan. Serve clear food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. Provide wine, beer, and cocktail service in compliance with responsible alcohol service guidelines. Anticipate and respond to guest needs, communicating any dietary concerns or special requests to the Banquet Captain or Manager. Assist with post-event breakdown, including clearing tables, stacking chairs, and returning equipment to proper storage. Handle all service ware, linens, and equipment carefully to prevent damage or loss. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of event spaces and service areas. Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless event execution.
Operational Efficiency:
Maintain inventory levels, monitor food costs, and implement efficient purchasing strategies to optimize kitchen performance. Implement and maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with local regulations.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house staff and management, to create a seamless and exceptional dining experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills and a hospitality-driven mindset. Ability to adapt to different event formats and schedules. Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Prior banquet or catering experience preferred; Spanish language skills a plus.
Education and Experience:
1 year of hospitality, banquet, or customer service experience preferred. High school diploma preferred. ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
