Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring timely communication with the kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to maintain a seamless flow of service. Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency. Requirements Previous restaurant or food service experience, preferably in fine dining, breakfast or nightclub settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques, sales skills, and effective time management during high-volume shifts. Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and accurate order processing. Experience with culinary preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required; a passion for food industry knowledge is essential.
