Job Overview:

Fountain Creek Winery & Eatery is a locally owned winery and eatery in the heart of south Fountain, CO. We specialize in bottling and blending wines and offering a wonderful selection of lunch and dinner items. We are looking for a professional waitstaff available to work on site and at occasional offsite events. This is a position of hospitality and sales where the number one goal is to provide guests with an outstanding and unique winery experience. The ideal candidate will engage, educate and entertain all wine enthusiasts, have an appreciation for the diverse wine and food we offer 7 days a week 11:30 am - 9:00 pm. Areas of Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service with a focus on building long-term relationships and regulars. Communicate respectfully and professionally with other staff members and management. Recommend menu items, identify ingredients/ allergens, and explain how various items on the menu are prepared and pair with specific wines. Monitor and uphold visual standards of retail, bar, and all other areas with guest access. Understand and use the POS system to perform opening and closing procedures, and perform sales functions. Restock wines and other items throughout the shift as well as a part of your opening and closing procedures. Perform running side work at the beginning, during, and end of each shift. Answer the phone when necessary and understand how to direct incoming calls, taking messages, and sharing info on business hours and stipulations. Assist with delivery of food plates, food accompaniments, and bussing. Assist with washing and polishing of glassware. Perform closing duties to ensure cleanliness and security Maintains open and honest communication with management to proactively resolve any issues with staff or guests Support and work onsite events and parties in a professional and welcoming manner Qualifications Minimum High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 6 months hospitality experience General ability to learn new information including specialty wines, lunches, dinners, and desserts offered Ability to acquire specific knowledge of Fountain Creek Winery offerings Excellent communication skills Ability to lift 25 pounds Basic computer skills, including POS and reservation systems Flexible schedule to include weekends and some evenings Able to stand for long periods of time
