Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences, focusing on bringing the art of hospitality back to the Grand Valley. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive top-notch service, from taking orders, anticipating guests needs, helping guests to find the right drinks and food options, and delivering food and beverages, while creating connection with the table. Your ability to engage with customers and provide a welcoming atmosphere will be key to enhancing their experience at our establishment. •This is a tipped position. Job Overview Responsibilities Greet guests and engage in a friendly and professional manner. Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings while guiding guests to items that suit their likes the best. Take accurate food and drink orders using Toast POS. Effectively be able to verbally sell new menu items and specials. Knowledge of the menus. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change. Prepare checks and process guests payments. Help run food and beverage items as needed. Effectively be able to communicate allergies to guests and then communicate those back to the kitchen. Check in with guests during their meal to ensure guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, patio, server area and storage areas, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Address any guest concerns or complaints with professionalism, ensuring positive guest relations. Assist with host/host duties as needed, including managing reservations through Toast Tables. Skills Proven experience in the food service industry, particularly in fine dining or sit down service settings. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently. Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. Experience with POS systems such as Toast, is preferred. Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance the dining experience. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members. Ability to multitask and prioritize your section/tables/guests in a thought out manner. Ability to learn quickly and memorize menu details. Work well in a team oriented enviorment.
