Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Engage with guests to enhance their experience through upselling techniques, recommending wine pairings or specialty items. Manage multiple tables efficiently by prioritizing tasks, coordinating with kitchen staff, and ensuring guest needs are met promptly. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols. Support other restaurant operations such as bussing tables, assisting with food preparation when needed, and providing guest relations support to ensure a seamless dining experience. Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Culinary experience or background in food preparation is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Previous host/hostess or serving experience is preferred; experience in bussing or supporting kitchen staff is beneficial. Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and order management. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
