Margaritas is seeking a Food Runner/Expo to join our team, where your energy and attention to detail will elevate the dining experience for every guest. In this vital role, you will serve as the crucial link between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring that food is delivered promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Responsibilities Safely transport food from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring dishes are presented beautifully and correctly. Verify orders against tickets for accuracy before serving guests. Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to prioritize food delivery during busy service periods. Assist with food presentation and garnishing to meet quality standards. Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes and resetting tables promptly for new guests. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary restrictions. Maintain cleanliness and organization in service areas, adhering to food safety standards. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and basic food preparation techniques. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is a plus. Experience in banquet service, catering, or hotel hospitality is advantageous. Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure in a team-oriented setting. Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods comfortably. Commitment to excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
