Job Description

Daisuki Ran is a new Pan-Asian restaurant opening in South Meriden, CT. We are assembling a hospitality-driven team focused on craft, energy, and genuine guest experience. We're looking for servers who take pride in hospitality , can move with urgency, and want to be part of a strong opening team.' Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with professionalism and enthusiasm Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled Provide detailed menu descriptions, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests in making informed choices Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a high standard of presentation and sanitation Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms, and give correct change Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, assist with bussing tables, and support food handling safety standards according to sanitation guidelines Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate guest preferences effectively Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing reservations, seating arrangements, and waitlist management Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or upscale settings Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and processing payments accurately Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required Familiarity with the food industry's standards for hospitality, serving etiquette, and guest relations Embark on a rewarding journey working alongside passionate professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional Pan-Asian cuisine in a lively yet refined atmosphere.
